About the project
We have developed a mobile prototype trailer for muon tomography that enables precise measurement operations in both indoor and outdoor environments. The goal of the project was to create a compact, safe, and technically reliable solution that can be easily transported and quickly deployed.
Length: 4770 mm; Width: 2360 mm; Height: 2030 mm; Gross weight: 2700 kg; Payload capacity: 1540 kg
Trailer for GScan mobile MRT-scanner
A key feature of the trailer is its vertically adjustable roof, which ensures at least 2000 mm of free space between the detectors. The upper hodoscope moves using four synchronized actuators, maintaining parallel measurement surfaces and ensuring high measurement accuracy.
Automatic electric stabilizing legs ensure system stability, while integrated heating and cooling systems maintain stable operating temperatures for the installed measurement equipment. All electrical functions can be controlled wirelessly, making the trailer easy and efficient to operate.
The trailer has a Dhollandia tail lift that can be used to scan heavy packages.
In transport mode, the trailer is designed to be as compact and aerodynamic as possible for safe and stable movement. The trailer has a total mass of 2700 kg and complies with European O2 category trailer requirements, including individual vehicle type approval.
The mobile trailer for MRT-scanner combines engineering precision, smart design, and mobility to create an efficient platform for advanced scientific and technical measurements.
